Our Approach
Our approach to every search is thorough, complete, and confidential. The process begins with an in depth discussion with the client to gain an accurate understanding of the search assignment. Through building long-term relationships with our clients we are able to understand and accurately convey the position and career path, as well as the environment and culture of each organization we represent. We believe this knowledge is a key ingredient to making a successful match.Continuous candidate identification and targeted recruiting is the hallmark of our service. As previously mentioned, our experienced recruiters capitalize on a highly developed network of finance and accounting professionals, which we build upon continuously.
We do not advertise. Rather, the typical candidates we work with are not actively seeking new roles, but we have identified them as strong candidates to be approached when the right position becomes available. In combination with our networks and referral base, we utilize aggressive sourcing techniques in appropriate target companies. Once we have an understanding of your role, our entire staff begins networking among the relationships that have been cultivated throughout the years. If we do not already have the right candidate it will not take long for us to find them.
The next step is an in-person interview to assess the skill set, career objectives and personal priorities of the potential candidate. We interview all candidates in our offices. In this extensive meeting we evaluate the candidates technical skills, presentation skills, leadership skills and overall experience level.
It is at this time that the candidate's key goals, motivations, and short and long-term priorities are discussed. We have found that an intimate understanding of this information is invaluable to make a successful long-term fit for both candidate and client.
After interviews are completed, we present qualified candidates to the client. By building long-term relationships with our candidates and clients, we are able to hone in on the subtle points that make a candidate the right fit. Once we have identified candidates who we believe are a good fit, we discuss our observations and assessments in detail with the client. It is at this time that an interview is scheduled between the client and candidate. The interview process itself is also carefully managed by a dedicated account manager to ensure an open communication channel. The final step in the process is the management of the offer presentation, negotiation, and candidate closure. We believe ASI's role in this final phase is vital.
Throughout the interview process, we extract valuable feedback and impressions from the candidate in order to develop an understanding of interest level, and to manage expectations. This feedback is crucial to successfully land the most qualified candidate, and eliminate any surprises. We also provide guidance on offer presentation and negotiation, and assist in reference checks.
